ICET is the abbreviation of Integrated Common Entrance Test. It’s an entry pass for any student interested in higher studies like MCA and MBA in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. Any graduate interested to study these courses in the university or any affiliated centers require qualifying the ICET.
ICET is dismantled into 3 portions that contain two hundred questions. The portions are –communication ability, mathematical ability and analytical ability. The test lasts for 150 minutes without negative marking. After the result declaration of entrance, comes the counseling session where each qualified candidate will be eligible to take admission for a seat in the concerned course with respect to the rank or score card. General Eligibility Criteria for ICET
- Maximum age limit is 21
- Candidate must be Indian by nationality and must fulfill all local and non local status needs of state government educational institutions order, 1974 as updated till date
- If candidate is not an Indian, then he or she must satisfy the concerned university rules
- Candidate, in the final year of graduation, can also apply for ICET
- If any applicant is having distance graduation certificate, then the certificate must be approved by DEC joint committee, UGC and AICTE
Eligibility for ICET MCA
Candidate must have three year degree with at least 50 percent as aggregate in case of general candidates and 45 percent in reserved categories is held to be eligible for MCA.

Like every counseling procedure, ICET too has convenient and easy process. The first step is to clear the ICET. Then after few days, the candidate will receive a counseling letter from the university. Then, he needs to confirm the counseling date and venue for the counseling session. Prior to the counseling, you need to submit a draft according to the directions of the university. Thereafter, the candidate needs to attend the counseling, which will be based on the ICET rank and the course option will also depend on the rank only. The seats will be assigned to the candidates according to the rank secured in the entrance test.
